Week 12

Project file 1
Live Demo

This week I was initializing and trying out some thoughts on what I could make. And because of how I was working on a project about zoo in the visual language class, I was inspired to maybe bring in the interactive tech approach into my thoughts on the zoo. I mainly tried to watch some facemesh tutorials and tried some drawing on the coordinate maps.

Week 6

Project file 1
Live Demo

I used Directory of Basketball Courts of NY as my data set. The set includes location (x,y coordinates), addresses, and its accessibility. I intended to create a visualization of the map of such with infos stored.

I referenced the squirrel code shown in class, and Claude helped with the filtering code to eliminate data points incomplete, and it added fancy motions and light.

I changed my text towards the final project. "Jalan, jalan" means taking a walk in Indonesian. I took many walks this past summer. I want the curve variations to offer a simplified route of a small walk.

Credits & References

I checked out the bezierPoint() reference
and I used claude for an interactive Bezier curve editor that gives me the control points as I played with the curves.
I also used claude for a saving each frame function

Week 1

Project file 1
Live Demo

I feel the climb moving to New York right now.

I looked up tutorials for the gradient and the text rotation for the last line. Sources follow: [link]

Week 13

Project file 1
Project file 2
Live Demo

I wanted to create an interactive game that reflects on the watching, gazing, and staring in the space of a zoo. A staring competition where the participant (zoogoer) would reflect on the power and intention behind their simple watching that defines the activities. In which only the eyes remain the measurement of the gaze, and the face could be shifting from different species (ideally i wanted it to be a structural morph, which only the eyes kept, but my own drawing might do the demo) .

I also used Claude to work through some structural logics, especially with the use of facemesh library vertices and the mapping of my drawn texture along with the live video input of the distance between eye coordinates.

I want to emphasize on the dimension adaptability from an interactive avenue. The starting anchor point and the ending anchor point dictate the directionality of the text, while the changing points along the curve could mirror the haphazard nature of a walk we take.

Credits & References

I used Claud for several functions: The rotation of the text relative to the anchor points of the curve drawn / the GUI that synthesizes the hand drawn curve into numerous belzier curve coordinates that maps into the newer canvases with proportional layouts

Week 2

Live Demo

For the last line I added scale and degree changes for GUI
